$65.00

When did Wilke close shop in NYC? According to an article in Pipedia, which looks quite accurate as I am familiar with the people involved, it closed in the early 1990s, so that makes this pipe, unsmoked, at least 30 years old. And according to Wilke protocol, it does not have any fills that I can see nor is it covered with dark stain, so everything about the briar is visible. Further, it has a solid cross grain pattern, which is manifest on the bowl and across its top and bottom of It’s a Grp. 4 size, with vulcanite stem. And talking about the stem, the button indicates a pipe far older than the 1990’s, although that’s not to say old stems weren’t sitting around for use in later decades. The stem material is vulcanite and the draw is wide-open. New.
5.65” long, bowl 1.8” tall. Weight: 1 oz., 30 grams.
