Although it’s a tall, thin stack-like bowl, the chamber is actually surprisingly capacious. I’m not sure how Toto managed it. Yes, I can get my thumb into the chamber…tightly, to be sure, but still…. The stem too, is a bit of a mystery. It is long and thin…that you can see for yourself, but I’m not sure if it’s vulcanite or acrylic. The sharpness of the color and the shine suggest acrylic, but it’s al dente, as the Italians might describe it, much more like a properly cooked pasta, with a bit of a give to the teeth, rather than a hard, uncooked dry pasta. Nicely enough, the chamber is uncoated. Cure it as you will with your own tobacco. New.
