The nomenclature is buffed down quite a bit here, with lots of letters obliterated, although all of the “Hurlingham” is visible, albeit some of the letters might require a lens. Certainly enough of the words are legible to establish the legitimacy of this as a family era pipe. There is also a tooth indent on the bottom of the stem…not deep, but rather somewhat long. The rim has carbon residue on it, but little wear and the blast is quite good. The vulcanite stem and dot logo is certainly original. It’s a Grp. 5 with a wide-open draw.
There are still a lot of good smokes to be gotten from this piece.
