JSP #112123-6472. (Joel Shapiro, as it turns out) *SOLD 2/5/24*

$35.00

My ignorance is your gain. I do not know who “JSP” pipes are, so the price offering has to be minimal, especially in relation to the quality and condition of this pipe. The condition is near-new. The workmanship is professional, with an open draw and a crisp, clean inner chamber rim. The grain pattern is not only good with a lot of straight grain, but is full…meaning no bare spots on the bowl. I don’t see any fills and but one little pit on the top of the shank. To mention the obvious (if you look at the photos) the walls are quick thick, & what may look like a small chamber is large enough to take my thumb. Thanks, as always, to my astute viewers/readers/correspondents and if I may stretch it, friends, I was informed that this pipe was made by Joel Shapiro. I should have been able to discern that by paying a little closer attention to what I was looking at on Pipedia. It was right there in front of me if I only looked properly. As my H.S. Geometry teacher often said, “eyes we have, but we see not.” He also said, but only once to my recollection, “Pulvers…how can you be so stupid..and live?”
6.25” long, bowl 2.1” tall. Weight: 2 3/8 oz., 66 grams.
