“C” #62123-4437 *SOLD 7/30/23*

$110.00

I can see that this pipe has but one “C” but looking at both the sculptured carving, and the cross grain & Bird’s Eye, it seems as though someone is undervaluing his work. Even two C’s would be too few in my estimation. And notice, the stain is quite light, should there be any flaws to reveal, which there aren’t. It’s a Grp. 6 size, with a wide-open draw and a construction that allows for the free flow of the pipe cleaner. The condition is excellent and while the report is that he uses only acrylic so the stem won’t oxidize, this stem has me stumped. The slit and the thinness point toward vulcanite, although it certainly isn’t oxidizing. In short, I don’t know.
The pipe is handsomely sculpted, giving different impressions as you turn it around. The pipe maker might be as much sculptor as pipe carver. He wouldn’t be the first to display this artistry. Used.
6” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 2 3/8 oz., 68 grams.
