Astleys #21523-3831 *SOLD 5/14/23*

$45.00

Some of the finest English brands made pipes for the Astleys shop on the very fancy Jermyn Street in London. Upshall and Charatan are two names that come quickly to mind; I’m sure there were others. I can’t guess who made this pipe. It’s in excellent condition. There are little pits in the wood, which may, or may not, have earned the X stamped on the shank. Besides the fine condition, the draw is wide-open. The stem is ebonite and has the Astleys logo on it. It’s a Grp. 5 size with a large capacity chamber. Used.
5.4” long, bowl 1.95” tall. Weight: 1 7/8 oz., 54 grams.
