Now that Bill Taylor is no longer on the scene, oil curing briar, is there anything distinguished coming out of England that recalls the old traditions? Ian Walker of Northern Briars (we don’t want to dismiss him and the great work he does for such fair prices) comes to mind, but he does not have the room on his house boat for a sandblaster. The blast on this piece will keep those memories uppermost with the near ring-grain blast . The 3 Xs mean it’s fairly large…a good Grp. 5 size. The rim is so crisp and clean because this pipe was hardly smoked. It could easily be called near-new. Used.
