There must be a reason these pipes were produced because they’re very large (Grp. 7) with good grain and I think they all bear a shape number of 001. This one is in very good condition, with a clean stem and just a little carbon residue on the rim. The draw is open and in a smaller, less special Root might easily have earned a DR designation. Used.
