1932 Dunhill Shell #112123-5866 *SOLD*

$285.00

The nomenclature is buffed down to where I needed a good lens to make out the fact that it’s from the time when the U.S. patent had two numbers. Most definitely, a good part of that nomenclature is not readable, but enough, barely enough, is legible so that I’m confident the pipe is from 1932. Although the button on the old stem is buffed down a bit, the vulcanite stem, pretty clearly an original, is in very good condition. There is a very shallow tooth mark on the bottom of the stem, but otherwise it’s mark-free and the rim and chamber are in very good, even excellent condition. Hand-holding has softened the blast, but you can still, and feel, that old Dunhill character. The draw is wide-open. Did I say that this was an LB? Those letters are stamped on the bottom of the shank and you can see the Dunhill name there, too. Used.
5.85” long, bowl 2” tall. Weight: 2 oz., 57 grams.
