Alex Kappeler #62123-4222JC *SOLD 8/31/23*

$150.00

New to me, but according to Pipedia, he’s been making pipes since about 2008. He’s Swiss and from the little I’ve seen, his pipes go for a pretty penny. The discrepancy between new and used, in this case, should make for an appealing pipe. This smooth piece, with lots of straight grain, is large…at least a Grp. 6 size, albeit a bit stubby and with a hint of the reverse calabash due to the thick, bulbous shank. Because the walls are so thick (1/2”) the chamber is not oversized. The draw is open and the stem is vulcanite. With a twist, the cleaner passes its one vital test. The condition is near-new, the pipe having been smoked maybe twice.
5” long, bowl 2.2” tall. Weight: 2.5 oz., 72 grams.
