This one was made before Paolo felt the pressure to grade his pipes with playing card suites, but as with all fine pipes, an astute and knowledgeable observer can tell the quality without the need of a grading crutch. Here’s an excellent of a master’s work, and in excellent condition with a crisp inner rim, a pristine stem and the classical shape that makes it the kind of pipe that smokers prefer to pick up. It has an open draw, the stem material is acrylic and the rustication is sharp and deep. Grp. 5 size.
