Baldo Baldi #81723-4784PC

$750.00

The tight, beautiful straight grain on this pipe does not fall off, as do most straight grains, at the front or the back of the bowl. Quite commendable (and, of course, a good reason to raise the price). But, in the name of full disclosure (god, how I hate those words) the grain does fall off a bit on what I’ll call the right hand side of the bowl (in other words, to your right when you’re holding the pipe as if smoking). Boom. That’s a bad, but necessary, reason to lower the price again. Don’t tell the consignor, Mr. P.C., but I’m going to knock $100 off the price he told me to sell it at. By the time he figures out what happened and sues me, I’ll be dead. Ha, ha, ha on him. What else? Yes, It’s a Grp. 6 size, with both thick walls (the rim is rich in Bird’s Eye grain) and a chamber large enough for me to stick my thumb into. The draw is open. The old, beat up cleaner I used needed to be twisted to go to the chamber bottom and the stem material is vulcanite. The condition’s excellent. Used
5.75” long, bowl 1.85” tall. Weight: 2.25 oz., 63 grams.
