A cute little (Grp. 3…but more like a 4) Root, but with an issue that will heavily impact the price of the pipe, but not the performance. There is a crack that begins at the stem end of the shank and continues along the side of the shank for a good ways. But the crack is very hard to see and, more importantly, the repair band assures that the crack won’t get worse. The pipe is as solid as any pipe could be. There is also a tooth indent on the top of the stem, but that is minor. The nomenclature is all legible and the chamber is in excellent condition. There will be a lot of smoking done in this bowl before the pipe has to give up the ghost.
