2009 Larry Roush #11425-12651RS *SOLD 12/6/25*
Despite all the new, and some quite good, U.S. pipemakers over the last few decades, I feel confident saying that none has come close to taking the title of Best U.S. Pipe Maker away from Larry. Larry managed to find his own artistic voice quite early in his career (he had the advantage of being a superb silversmith before entering our field) and has never been able to keep up with the demand of high end pipe collectors and smokers. Here is one of not many that hit the used-pipe market. It is stamped L1, which must mean something regarding the the grade. It’s in excellent condition. If you need a shape name, call it a modified Rhodesian.
It does come with the card indicating that all the requisite steps were completed and checked off. And, yes, the original bag. That card is not an after-thought. It makes sure that, despite being human, Larry makes certain he has properly completed each step. Believe me, I know how easy it is to miss something…I can’t even remember to get all the simple 8 photographic angles all the time. Larry is meticulous. It also comes with a ‘thank you’ and his handsome penmanship signature on the card, although, and no insult meant to Larry, it will probably never be worth George Washington’s or Ben Franklin’s signature. Still…it’s comforting to have it.
