This pipe is not graded, it does, however have the number 250 stamped on the boxwood (or so I think it is) extension. What that means, I do not know. If it were a factory pipe, like Dunhill or Peterson or Savinelli, it would suggest that it was one of 250 made to commemorate an event or person or holiday. But Bruto Sordini, working alone in his workshop (although once a week, a man comes in to do the rustication, by hand, on designated pipes) can not possibly produce 250 of a single shape in even a year, not to mention having the repetition drive him crazy and create an even greater annoyance to his wife Rosaria. Maybe somebody out there knows what the ‘250’ stands for. The pipe is large, at least Grp. 6, and I’d suggest Grp. 7, with a chamber diameter large enough to get my thumb into. It is unsmoked, so the condition is new. The draw is wide-open.
5.7” long, bowl is variable, from 1.8” tall to over 2” tall. Weight: 2.5 oz., 70 grams.
