Becker #11526-13007

$425.00

This pipe doesn’t look at all like a typical Paolo Becker (if there is such a thing) but it does go to illustrate the man’s range and ability to extract the most from a block of briar. Of course, we all knew that anyway. He was simply terrific. This is pre-grading, but look at the grain and you see a Royal Flush. You can also see the very tight knobs on the plateau rim, giving evidence to the tight straight grain embracing the bowl. The silver band is original…there is a small Becker “b” subtly stamped on it. The condition of the pipe is excellent, no wear on the rim, no marks on the stem. The size is Grp. 6, thanks to the thick bowl, but because of that thick wall, the chamber is not overly large. Just a gem of a pipe.
5.5” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 2 oz., 56 grams.
