Years back I was given a collection of Ardors to sell. I think they were called Giants. They were even larger than this pipe, but believe me, this is plenty large enough…well, maybe not for King Kong, but otherwise, it’s big enough. It was made in 2006 according to the stamping, and it is unsmoked, with an uncoated bowl, so the condition is pristine. If the finish is sandblast, it has a fabulous ring grain. If it’s carved, it’s still a fabulous job. I can’t really tell, although the grain is so near-perfect that I’m leaning toward it being a hand-carved finish. The stem is acrylic and the draw is wide-open. But then, why wouldn’t it be with so much material to work with.
