'71 Dunhill Shell #72025-12105

$115.00

Maybe it’s not a 1971. While all of the nomenclature is crisp and quite clear, the date stamp is muddy. What can I say. Almost assuredly it’s from the 1970s as the first number is a 1. The rim and chamber are crisp and clean. The stem is pristine. But, for some reason, the carver decided to make the tenon thick, meaning that the shank would have to be thin at that point and a serious crack ensued, requiring the brass repair band you see in the photos. The draw is open, none of the nomenclature is ancovered by the band and while I would call this a Grp. 4, it is stamped Grp. 4. It still has all the earmarks of a great smoke.
5.4” long, bowl 1.75” tall. Weight: 1.75 oz., 50 grams.
