It’s a wonderful website. This Grp. 4 sized piece, while not dated, was clearly made between the two world wars; the stem’s rounded button tells that tale. Better yet is the fact that the pipe is in excellent condition…a clean, crisp rim and a stem with the original “RS” logo…for Royal Stuart…completely intact. The rustication is more detailed and intricate than anything I can recall seeing in contemporary pipes. It’s not easy to discern it as rustication and not sandblasting. In short, a collector’s item.
