Panels intrigue me, although I don’t have a single one. That might be because the pipes that got away (we all have those, don’t we?) were two Dunhill Panel Princes that cost, together, more than I had at the time…$300. I really wanted those pipes and whoever did get them has kept them close to the vest. This one is a beauty, I think. It’s fairly large, at least a Grp. 6, and is in near-new condition. Also, it has the more difficult 8 panels vs the more common 6 sided pieces. Only the whiff of latakia in the chamber gives it away as having been smoked. I will say that the size of the pipe and the shape of the vulcanite stem dictate that this pipe be hand held and not held in the teeth (as I tend to like doing). All cross grain and Bird’s Eye.
6” long, bowl 2” tall. Weight: 2.25 oz., 63 grams.
