This is a fairly old Hardcastle. How old I do not know…leave it to the researchers. But they do need something to go on and I can give it to them. Perhaps the grade, Jack O’London can give a hint. Especially in the type face used in the stamping. The way “Hardcastle” is stamped might also be a clue. Maybe the best clue is the “British Made” stamp. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that designation before. BTW, the nomenclature is all crisp and clear. The stem and the rim are both mark-free. The “H” logo is still intact on the stem. The pipe is in excellent condition. It’s a Grp. 5.
