Comoy's Everyman #72025-12020

$50.00

Back in the 1950s and ‘60s, (and maybe earlier…my memory doesn’t go further back than about 1948) the Comoy’s Everyman was the first important pipe for those who bought their briars from true tobacconists rather than in drugstores. It was my first serious purchase and cost a pocket-draining $5 or so. (If you had the extra $13.50, and you mostly didn’t, you could snare a Dunhill Shell.) This is one of those original Everymans. In my haste to take a lot of photos, the shots of the rim and chamber were forgotten. I’ll get to them next time if the pipe doesn’t sell. But the rim is immaculate, the stem is near pristine and the 3 horizontal line logo is on the stem. There are two fairly deep dings on the bottom of the bowl. They will likely steam out to some extent, but not entirely. Nonetheless, considering the wonderful condition, I firmly believe this asking price represents a terrific deal. Grp. 4.
5.6” long, bowl 1.4” tall. Weight: 1 1/8 oz., 33 grams.
