This is the kind of Bulldog you can see from across the room and identify as a Charatan. There is something unique in the way that factory cut that shape, better explained by people like Greg Pease or Brian Burk, but at least visible to me, if not easily broken down and explained. The condition is very good; the stem has no marks on it and the logo is all there, but with a bit of the white buffed off. The nomenclature includes the Lane “L” plus an “Extra Large,” and. a”Made by Hand.” Actually, it’s not all that big, maybe a Grp. 6 size. But, due to the way the pipe is cut, it definitely has a lot of briar and I bet the weight reflects that. We’ll see at the end of this description.
