The “L” (which appears to have been stamped twice on the shank, one of those times upside down) indicates a small pipe and this is a Grp. 3. The bowl is in excellent condition. The nomenclature is a little buffed down, and perhaps in consideration of the small amount of space to include information, the only writing on the bowl is the brand name, in old block letters. The shape number is 126, but also 3195. Don’t ask me what this all means. It does not say made in England, so perhaps this is one of the Madagascar-made Barlings. (Just kidding.). The stem is a well done vulcanite replacement, so no Barling logo.
