Ashton XX Brindle #327-11301
Ashton XX Brindle #327-11301
A Grp. 4 size in excellent condition. I always thought that the Brindle edition came with a brindle stem, but I guess that isn’t the case and somehow refers to the pipe’s finish, or perhaps stain color. Brindle is not listed as one of the Ashton finishes on Pipedia. I could call or write my old business partner, David Field, who imported and distributed Ashton in the U.S. exclusively for over 30 years, or I could wait for someone to write in and enlighten me. OK, I guess I’ll write David and get back to you. There is a “220” stamped on the shank and that might mean the pipe was made by Jim Craig in 2020. The band is sterling and original, with the Ashton name on it. The draw is open.
5.15” long, bowl 1.75” tall. Weight: 1 3/8 oz., 36 grams.
