2001 Ashton Pebble Shell #11425-12886 *SOLD 1/5/26*

$265.00

I forget what the difference is between Pebble Grain and Pebble Shell. Since Bill Taylor worked all those years for Dunhill, where “Shell” essentially meant sandblast, we can trust that Shell has some of the same meaning here, too. Quite a handsome pipe, in excellent condition with a complementary brindle stem. The bowl is tall, but thin, so the capacity of the chamber is more like a Grp. 4 in size, although we know, also from Dunhill, that long shanks (meaning, I suppose, larger and thus older briar blocks) earn the designation of a larger size.
6.25” long, bowl 2.15” tall. Weight: 1 3/8 oz., 38 grams
