1941-1943 Dunhill Shell #11526-13201 *SOLD 2/12/26*

$350.00

Could this be the elusive 1942 (my birth year, actually) Dunhill? The patent number is only precise enough to put it at one of the three years listed above. The bowl and rim are in very good condition, with no wear on the rim, although a little carbon residue does reside at one spot. The stem situation is a little vexed, as Dr. Watson would put it. It is certainly an old ebonite stem, appropriate for the year(s) suggested by the Pat. number. But, at the end of the shank has been worked on, smoothed, so as to fit a stem replacement. the nomenclature is almost all legible…except the year at the end of the “Made in England” (of course). With a good lens you can see the entire patent number. The tobacco chamber appears to be in good condition. small Grp. 4 in size.
5” long, bowl 1.75” tall. Weight: 1 oz., 27 grams.
