This pipe makes the Danish page not on its good looks, but on its promise of being a great smoke. There is no longer a logo on the stem, and the nomenclature is buffed way down, and the rim is less than perfect. But here’s the thing…it is in solid smoking shape and is a Regis. numbered old Stanwell. In short, this pipe was made from good, old briar and whoever smoked it for decades took pretty good care of it. Plus, as a Billiard, it is the the number one shape of pipe smokers. Fancy can be beautiful, but it appears that smokers always return to their classic shapes. Grp. 5 size.
